All actitives in the Volta Regional capital of Ho is expected to be brought to a standstill when the next train of the regional Sprite ball championship hit the region on Saturday November 7.
With Eastern and Ashanti regions done and dusted, the focus is now shifted to the Volta region where the various schools have promised to play out games fit for the gods.
Thousands of fans both young and old are expecetd to gather at the Ho stadium to catch a glimspe of great basketball artistry as teams of senior high schools from the region do battle on the court.
Basketballghana’s sources at the Volta regional capital indicate that the much awaited Sprite ball championship has become the major talking point among students of the various senior high schools.
The one day-competition is expected to enact rivarly, settle old scores and the quest to assert authority among the various schools.
Keta Senior High remains the hot contenders to retain the title they won last year in the boys category but they will face unyielding opposition in giant schools like Mawuli Senior High and Bishop Herman Senior High.
The grand finale in Accra on the 19th and 20th of December at the El-Wak stadium will serve as a major factor for all the teams to give off their best shot.
