The best they say in Ghana comes from the West, and it remains to be seen if senior high schools in the Western Region have got enough impetus to thrive in their debut season in the famous Sprite Basketball competition this year.

Rite Multimedia who are leaders in basketball development in Ghana fulfilled their promise by extending their tentacles to two more regions to add to the existing four regions in the annual basketball competition amongst senior high students.

The Western hemisphere of Ghana has always pride itself as the embodiment of greatness in the West African Country and Ghanaians will be waiting with baited breath  if they can translate that in their debut appearance in the Sprite Ball competition.

Over twenty schools with great pedigree will vie for the six available slots from the region ahead of the grand finale in Accra in December.

Bishop Porter Girls, Fijai Senior High and St John’s Senior High among others will line up for the cliff hanger at the premises of Ghana Secondary Technical School (G.S.T.S) on November 13th.

Fishermen, traders and the entire crazy basketball community are bracing themselves for an exciting challenge in two months time in the Sekondi –Takoradi Metropolis.

The Sprite Ball competition in both the male and female divisions have been dominated by schools in the central and Greater Accra regions over the past three years and the Western regional schools are bent on halting the supremacy of the two regions in the final chapter on December 19 and 20th at the El-Wak Stadium.
