POJOO FRAMEPope Johns’ Senior High School has stepped up preparations for the 2009 edition of the Sprite Ball as they attempt to topple champions Suhum Secondary Technical School.

The Koforidua based school is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to wrestle the Eastern Regional title from Sutesco.

Pojoss lost narrowly to their perennial rivals in an exciting final game last year and the side has vowed to avenge that defeat when Koforidua Secondary Technical School host the Eastern regional competition on October 17.

But the team will miss the services of former Captain and Small forward Stephen Asamoah who featured prominently for Dansoman in the recently concluded U-18 basketball tournament among ten communities in the Greater Accra region.

The team has been playing series of low-profile friendlies to trim the rough edges ahead of the most illustrious and renowned basketball competition among senior high school students and they are billed to prove tough customers for their opponents.

But they will have to contend with the challenges and threat schools like Peters, AIS, Odasco, Abusco among others.

Sprite Ball is brought to you by Sprite, Sprite your thirst and powered by Rite Multimedia – leaders in Basketball developments in Ghana.
