The Chief Executive Officer of Rite Multimedia,Yaw Sakyi Afari, has hinted an increased number of communities in the next edition of Community Dunks 2010 after the company hit another milestone in basketball development in Ghana.
The indefatigable Chief Executive Officer says he was impressed with the level of play and competition and reckons that the next edition of the competition will see an improved number of participating communities.
Ten communities played in the maiden U-18 Basketball tournament for 13-weeks at the El-Wak stadium which caught the attention of the crème de la crème of Ghana Sports and thousands of fans during the three months period.
Rite Multimedia, an events company, has been at the fore front of promoting basketball at the grass root level since 2007.
The company has successfully organised the most prestigious basketball tournament amongst students of Senior High Schools dubbed ‘Sprite Ball’ over the past three(3) years, Junior Ball for student in the Junior High School and extended their tentacles to the Universities with the Legon Dunks early in the year.
The boss of Rite Multimedia Yaw Sakyi Afari reiterated his company’s readiness to continue with the promotion of the game in the country.
‘Once again we have shown that we have the ability to promote the game and the past 13-weeks have shown that we are committed and still on course to take the game to the highest level in the country’ Afari told basketballghana.
‘ We believe there are many untapped talents out there and so we are committed to give them the platform to exhibits their basketball skills and help them get to play in the big leagues in the world.’

‘We have down it with Sprite Ball, Junior Ball and Legon Dunks over the past few years and the latest in our field of achievement is the successful hosting of Community Dunks 2009.
‘We will add more communities in next year’s competition and hopefully in the next few years extend to cover other parts of the country”.
