DUNK TROPHY POST 1Cantonments made history by beating Ridge to lift the maiden – U-18 Basketball competition at the E-Wak Stadium amidst pump and pageantry.

Talented point guard for Cantonments Raymond Maha crowned an incredible run of great form for his side with another untouchable display of great Basketball skills and dexterity to help his side triumph 52-44 against Ridge.

Shooting guard Frank Adoblea managed to hit the highest number of three pointers in the competition and six out of his 16 fields goals came on the heels of three pointers to the admiration and applause of fans.

But the win for Cantonments did not come on a silver platter as Ridge gave them a good run for their money.

They took the first quarter and second quarter but lost concentration in the remaining quarters to allow Cantonments to rally back to capture the third quarter which set up an intense final quarter with fans sitting on tenterhooks.

With Coach Daniel Sowah Dua issuing out technical instructions from the touchlines, Cantonments began to take the game to their opponent and they wobbled under pressure clearly questioning the character of Coach Lawal Braimah’s side. They subsequently lost 52-44 in the fourth quarter to send the thousands of fans who had thronged the venue into spontaneous celebration that will go deep into the night.
