After narrowly losing to Kaneshie in the first match, the boys from Dansoman yesterday were bent on redeeming their hard earned image as they face Sakumono. Sakumono who won against James Town in their maiden encounter started so well leading the game by 29-23 points by the end of the second quarter. The situation changed when the Dansoman team came back strongly in the third quarter piling up pressure on the defense of their opponent with series of quick passes, pick and rolls and excellent shots to seal the game by an eleven points margin 45-34.
In another interesting encounter the lads from Ashaiman showed class when they literally told their counterparts from James Town that they are not push over’s after all. Ashaiman playing in an orange and white jersey surfaced this time round with a new strategy which indicated that they have leant their lessons after playing against the strong Kaneshie side in their first match and Kaneshie’s second. What made the Ashaiman invasion very scaring was their splendid performance and strong inter positional passes on the court. They took advantage of the weak defense of the James Town team pumping in and finally slamming the goals. The James Town boys on the other hand were virtually sleeping in the free throw area of the Ashaiman team and that really caused them. The game ended 34-20 in favour of Ashaiman.
