Former Braves of Customs players Enoch Borsah and Ebenezer Borsah played key roles for Tema Youth to halt Braves unbeaten streak in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I after inflicting a painful 84-78 win on the multiple winner of the league.
Both brothers and oldest brother Richard were on Braves team last year but the younger duo found it difficult to get minutes leading to a switch to bitter rival Tema Youth.
With the score tied at 78 and little over two minutes left to play in overtime, the brothers combined on the game changing possession.
Enoch did well to come up tops in a contested rebound and gave up the ball to Ebenezer who raced to the rim for a layup only to be fouled.
He converted both free throws to give Tema an 80-78 lead that his side will not relinquish to get the win.
The loss completes what has turned into a terrible run of news this month for Braves with the team’s female side losing 29-31 to Tudu Galaxy despite the latter playing the entire game with just six players.
On March 1, Director of Sports for Ghana’s Revenue Authority, Benjamin Baafi passed away.
